Mr. Barron was born Feb. 5, 1897 in Bell County, TX. He was a retired butcher and formerly a resident of Tulia from 1918-1939 when he moved to the Rio Grande Valley. He came to Amarillo to live three years ago. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Tulia with the Rev. W. Neal Record, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Tulia. Mr. Barron is survived by his wife, Mrs. Tressie Lee Barron, a son, Grover Dow Barron of Sulphur, LA; four daughters, Mrs. G.M. Gamblin of Amarillo, Mrs. L.O. Jones, San Benito, TX; Mrs. M.C. Hogue of Memphis, TN; and Mrs. E.M.Smith of Harlan, KY; and six sisters, Mrs. Betty Hyatt of Tulia, Mrs. L.H.Odom of Vigo Park; Mrs. Jewell Burns of Tatum, NM; Mrs. Myrtle Knight of Fresno, CA; Mrs. Bessie Markham of Truth or Consequences, NM; and Mrs. Era Foster of Englewood,CA.

Miss those rides in your old pickup truck, spending the night with you and Mammy, and that fried chicken dinner you brought me when I was sick! Most of all just miss you. Thanks for so many sweet memories.
