He was usually called Mikey, and his mother said he was "born to aggravate"! I can well imagine him keeping his parents and brothers in turmoil as a kid. But he was a great friend, witty and full of surprises.
His home was his castle and he had a good eye for decorating and furnishing it. He had collected 13 windup Victrolas and countless chiming clocks, most of them in one room. They never chimed at the same time, making his house a cacaphony every 15 minutes, and driving his friends crazy. Of course he didn't even hear them.
After several years in California, he made his peace with his family and moved back home to New Ulm, and later to Mankato. He loved his family, loved his friends, and loved his chows Kubla and Ching. And we all loved him in return, even when he was being aggravating.
I miss you so much Mikey!
