Roy A. Busse, 87, Cavalier, died Saturday, Feb 2,1985, at Pembina County Memorial Nursing Home, Cavalier.
Mr. Busse was born March 4, 1897 at Morris, MN to Mr. and Mrs. William Busse. He married Vera Salter at Cavalier July 31, 1922. He lived and farmed in the Cavalier community most of his life. He served in the US Army during World War I. He was a member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Vera, two daughters, Mrs. Delores Ganyo, Grand Forks, and Mrs Emil (Jean) Sigurdson, Hensel; two sons, Claire Busse, Cavalier and Lawrence Busse, Sauk rapids, MN; fourteen grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Don and John, four sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Feb 5 (today) at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, Cavalier, Monsignor Petr Lekavy will officiate. Pallbearers are Dale Busse, Mike Busse, Todd Busse, Monty Heller, Ervin Sott, and Carl Winkler. Interment will be in St. Bridget's Catholic Cemetery, Cavalier. Military rites will be accorded by the Lavern J. Thompson Post of the Cavalier American Legion. Jen Funeral Home, Cavalier is in charge of arrangements.
