This was my maternal great-grandmother, and she spent her entire adult life in charity.

She began in the Salvation Army in Toronto just before the Booth bros had their infamous fight. Ballington moved south for a permanent winter and started the Volunteers of America in 1905.

She moved to Buffalo with my great-grandfather George Thomas Coleman and spent the rest of her years moving to where she was needed. She was in the Red Cross during the Great War. She spent time in Buffalo, Wilkes-Barre, Cleveland, Columbus, and finally Denver with the VOA.

Her obit is attached.
