Emery "Imre" Torok, Sr. was born in Hungary on Christmas day in 1884. He came to the US via Ellis Island in 1903. The census lists his age at marriage to his first wife as age 22 (abt. 1906) His wife, Julia Ronto is listed on his WWI draft card in 1918. Emery had 3 children from his first marriage: John, born 1911, Olga, born 1913 and Matilda, born 1916. It is unknown how his first marriage ended. In 1920 Emery married Josephine Banyacski Nagy and they had a son, Emery James "Jimmy" Torok in 1921. Emery rests beside his wife at Highland Park Cemetery.
