Born July 4, 1929 in Letterkenny Township, she was the daughter of the late Eber Jonathan and Elmira Rebecca Rosenberry.
A homemaker most of her life, she was employed part-time at Musselman's.
She attended Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church in Chambersburg.
Josephine is survived by her husband, John Richard Alberts, whom she married July 28, 1949; a son, Richard Alberts and wife Susan of Mineral, VA; a daughter, Donna Preisler and husband Robert of Chambersburg; five grandsons; one granddaughter; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gerald A. Rosenberry of Chambersburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Watson; and five brothers, Luther, Blain, Wilbur, Homer, and Fred.
Burial will be Monday June 1, 2009 in the Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
