Rev. Wayland Appleby
April 6, 1926 - December 24, 2010

Rev. Wayland R. Appleby, 84 of the Priceville Community of Hart County, passed away at 11:20pm Friday, December 24 at the Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Carl & Lillie Doyle Appleby. He was a retired employee of Ft. Knox where he taught driver's testing. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, a member of the Masonic Lodge #910 F&AM where he was past master, a member of the Order of Eastern Star #191, having served as a Worthy Patron. Bro. Wayland was a member of the Cave Hill Baptist Church, an ordained Baptist minister having pastored numerous churches.

Funeral services for Rev. Wayland R. Appleby will be 1pm Tuesday at the Cave Hill Baptist Church with Bro. James Jessie & Bro. Paul Hawkins officiating. Burial will be in the Campground Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5-9pm, Tuesday from 8am-10:30am at the Sego Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at the Cave Hill Baptist Church after 11:30am Tuesday until time for services. Masonic services will be 7pm Monday at the Sego Funeral Home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Priceville Cemetery.
