Census records show that Eleanor was born in PA. She was the wife of Allen Agnew and the mother of sons Archibald Burns, Samuel, John and Francis Marion Agnew.
On the 24th of June, 1866, at her sister's residence, near Loveland, Ohio, in the 64th year of her age, Eleanor Agnew.
She endured a long and painful illness with patience and resignation, did not eat food of any kind for 29 days, and partook of scarcely any drink. She was rather eccentric in her habits, but truly pious, and very zealous in the cause of the Christian religion, and no doubt was fully prepared to enter into the Joys of her Lord.
