Dorothy Jane Ross, 77, of Marshall, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2004, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. William W. Harlow and Hobie King will officiate. Pallbearers will be Greg King, Brian King, Jeff King, Darren Breshears, Aaron Ross and Darin Ross. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Salt Fork YMCA.
Born Aug. 4, 1927, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late Joseph King and Nannie Culbertson King. On Nov. 19, 1946, she married Harland LeRoy Ross, who preceded her in death Feb. 16, 1999. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Harland D. "Rusty" Ross and wife Kris, Darryl Ross and wife Donna, and Danny Ross, all of Marshall; one daughter, Terry Abney and husband Skip of Moore, Okla.; one brother, J.D. King of Colfax, Calif.; one sister, Julia Rausch of Marshall; eight grandchildren; six foster grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three foster great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by eight brothers.
