|Birth: ||Apr., 1820|
|Death: ||Feb. 11, 1908|
Second wife of Jean Paul "John" Erman (b. 3 Mar 1806 Elvange, Moselle, Lorraine FRA, d. 25 Oct 1881 Muskingum Co OH), who emigrated to OH bet. 1828-1832. Emily was the daughter of Peter Schonholzer and Elizabeth (Ish?) Shainholtz of Chester Co. PA. Peter seems to have died before the family removed from PA to Muskingum Co. (cf. records of the Vincent Reformed Church, Chester Co.).
John and Emily married on 2 October 1858 and settled just west of the village of Bridgeville in Perry Twp., Muskingum Co. No known issue. Note: there are quirky spellings in the official record of Muskingum Co. Marriages. John's name is spelled "Erwin" and Emily's is spelled "Shamholts". Although the family name was originally Schonholzer/Schoenholzer, it is listed in most Muskingum Co. censuses as Shainholtz.
