Deborah A. (Hedin) Archibald, 46 of Halifax formerly of Whitman died Monday November 16th in the South Shore Hospital. She was the devoted wife of 17 years to Franklin W. Harbester, and beloved daughter of Ronald D. and Carol J. (McPate) Hedin of Whitman.

Born in Brockton and raised in Whitman she had attended Cardinal Spellman High School and was a graduate of Whitman-Hanson High.

Her first job was with Duval's Pharmacy in Whitman and she worked for many years as a buyer and in retail sales at the former Joubert's Clothing, also for Chadwick's as a buyer and manager and later as a primary buyer for the David Deals Corporation.

Debbie loved animals and the beach but her greatest joy where her three daughters. She was a devoted wife, daughter and mother always loving and giving to her children, family and friends. She was truly a special person who was kind to everyone and always there for those in need.

In addition to her husband and parents she is survived by her three loving daughters Victoria Rose Harbester, Elizabeth Ann Harbester and Alexandra Caroline Harbester all of Halifax. She was also the loving sister of Thomas F. Hedin and his wife Mary of Milton, and special aunt to Paul, Thomas and Rose Hedin.

Her funeral service will be held Saturday November 21 at 9:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel Plymouth Street (Rt. 58 at the rotary) Whitman, followed by a mass at 10 AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will be at a later date. Visiting hours will be held Friday November 20 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
