James was the son of Barton Henry Bradley and
Minnie Alice Addington.


After ten years of searching for his grave, I finally found it with the help of findagrave friends.

He had many brothers and sisters. This information was given by the vital statistics when he died.
He was the brother of:

Raymond Bradley of Oklahoma,Okla
This making 14 children in all to his parents.

At the time of his death he had 23 grandchildren and only one great grandchild. Of course now those numbers have changed greatly.

He married Effie Mae(Erwin)Bradley" on September 22, 1912 and had 11 children with her. They divorced and he took the oldest of the 11 children. He later moved to California where he passed away. My mother Derlene Short was his grand daughter and attended his funeral when she was 9.

He was a Jehovah Witness.
He lived with his son Kenneth Bradley in Pittsburg, CA.
He wrote my grandmother a letter before he died which I put a copy of on this site. A book about his wife that I wrote is published in Amarillo, Tx and Weatherford, TX library. It is titled, The Erwin family.

JAMES "JIM" ADDISON BRADLEY's father was (BARTON HENRY BRADLEY), and his grand father was (JAMES ANDERSON BRADLEY) His mother was an ADDINGTON. He was born December 18, 1891 in Springtown, Tx Parker County, and died January 17, 1954 in Richmond, Contra Costa County, California of a heart attack. He married EFFIE MAE ERWIN September 22, 1912 in Poolville, Parker County, Texas, daughter of JOSEPH NEWTON ERWIN and MARY MATILDA ERWIN. She was born January 4, 1894 in Erwin Community, Parker County, Texas, and died February 20, 1984 in San Joaquin County, California.

b. May 10, 1922 in Peaster TX, Parker County Texas; d. December 28, 1995, San Joaquin County, California; m. CASTLEBERRY.
