Leon W. Aleshire, age 95, of Stotts City, MO died on Monday, November 20, 2017, at the Lawrence County Manor in Mt Vernon, MO where he had made his home for several years. Mr. Aleshire was born in Reams, OK on Thursday, June 08, 1922. He was the son of Jess and Ola (Martin) Aleshire. Mr. Aleshire married Betty Huffman on December 5, 1942, and she preceded him in death on August 20, 2015.

Mr. Aleshire was an ordained minister for over thirty years and preached at the Bible Way Church in Stotts City, MO. He also ran a bulldozer beginning at the age of seventeen years old, and spent two years working in Arkansas on the dam, and was a project supervisor for the company he was employed by.

Surviving are the following: two daughters, Barbara Ellis (John) of Stotts City, MO and Shirley Huff of Mt. Vernon, MO; two sisters, Phyllis Kleine of Stotts City, MO and Ethel Clayton of Chandler, AZ; three brothers, Bob Aleshire of Stotts City, MO, Lloyd Aleshire of the state of KY, and Lawrence Aleshire of Highlandville, MO; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, MO on Friday, November 24, 2017, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Graveside services will be at the Union Cemetery in Stotts City, MO on Friday, November 24, 2017 beginning at 1:00 PM with Brother John Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Stotts City, MO.
