Mrs. Walter Ames - Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia Jane Ames, 71 years old, a Seattle resident 39 years, who was active in the Red Cross and who died yesterday at her home, 4850 Orcas St., will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow in the Columbia funeral home, followed by cremation. The Rev. George Jacobs will officiate.
Born in Kansas, Mrs. Ames was the widow of Walter Ames, who died in 1941. She was a member of the Findlay Street Christian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs Helen Marlatt and Mrs. Mary Goetz, Seattle; three sons, Harry Guy Ames, Auburn: Fred Ray Ames, Centralia, and Jeff M. Ames, Seattle; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Fritz, in California; Mrs Josie Marston, in Oklahoma, and Mrs. Armanda Lovercheck, in Nebraska: a brother, Marion Semler, in California: six granchildren and four great-granchildren.
Her parents were George & Zilpha Pendleton Semler.
