Funeral services were held at the Zion Lutheran Church is Presho Thursday, October 22 at 10:30 am for Eva Caroline Alison, born October 13, 1901, she passed away October 17, 1981.

Pastor Vern Schindler, officiated at the service. Mrs. Arvid Ambur, organist, accompanied the men's group.
Casket bearers included Myles Johnson, John Studt, John L. Anderson, Ronald Boschee, Lyle Schoulte, and Anton Lebada.
Mrs. Alta Anderson was in charge of the register book and memorials.

Ralph Lunder served as usher.

Burial was in the Presho Cemetery with the Hofmeister
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Eva Caroline Blanke was born October 13, 1901 to Carl and Margaret Blanke at Tea, SD. She passed away at Mary House in Pierre Saturday October 17 at the age of 80 years and four days.

In 1905 the family moved to a homestead south of Presho. As a young woman Eva taught several rural schools south of Presho. She was also the city librarian, worked for the Lyman County Herald, West Central Electric and the REA. She was a bookkeeper at Andersen Gas Co. until she retired in 1963.

She was married to John Halgrimson in 1923 and to this union two children were born: Ethel Roundy, Irvine, Calif., and Charles Halgrimson of Pierre, SD. In 1946 she was married to CA Alison. Both husbands preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Frances Diehm.

Survivors include her children Ethel Roundy, Irvine, Calif., and Charles Halgrimson, Pierre, SD; grandchildren, Karen Callahan, Margo Fuller, Pauline Roundy, Vicki Bacher and Barbara Fitch all of Calif., David Halgrimson of Presho, and Claudia Jorgenson of Denver. Six great grandchildren also survive her.
