Reece was one of my closest friends since 2nd grade. He was a big guy and rough looking and got a job as a bouncer and couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag! His rough looks saved him because nobody challenged him. He was a gentle man and a great pal. Reece had a 650 Triumph motorcycle and after high school he bought a huge dump truck and drove it to California and worked on the new roads being constructed there. He lived in Hollywood for several years. We did so much together when we were kids and I still stop to visit his grave when I am near Cincinnati. Reece died of cancer. He had a wonderful mother who worked at the hospital where Reece died. The doctors gave him two years and he died almost to the day but he and several other friends took a long trip to Mexico and travelled in a used hearse. He gave me a Mexican coin as a souvenir of his trip only months before he died, I still have it. I could write a book about him. He left behind his Mom and Dad and an older brother, Otis.
