Howard Arnold, 59, Millersville, Dies
Howard L. Arnold, 59, of 142 Elizabeth St, Millersville, died Thursday afternoon at his home after a lingering illness.
The husband of Earla Jane Herr Arnold, he was born in Juniata Co., a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John F. Arnold, and was a resident of the Millersville area for the past 41 years.
He was employed in the Yard Department of the Armstrong Cork Co., and had last worked on Sept. 1 of this year.
A member of Stehman's United Methodist Church and Sunday School, Arnold also belonged to the Millersville Rod and Gun Club, the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, No. 307, in Columbia, and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
In addition to his widow at home, he is survived by a son, Leroy H. Arnold, of Easton, Pa.; two sisters, Malinda, wife of Clayton Frey, of Liverpool, Pa., and Pauline, wife of Edward Carr, of Lavalle, Pa.; and two brothers, Clarence Arnold and Charles Arnold, both of Lancaster.
