THE PARIS NEWS, Mar. 08, 2005: 'Janie L. Smith Brue, 57, of Paris passed away Saturday, March 5, 2005, at her residence. Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, in Meadowbrook Gardens with the Rev. David Holt officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. She was born Nov. 9, 1947, in Paris, the daughter of Hayden and Kathryn Keener Smith. She was a retired nurse having worked at McCuistion Regional Medical Center for many years and was a member of Living Word Assembly of God. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Kelly McFadden; brother, Tommy Smith and an aunt, Joyce Smith. Survivors include a son, David Brue of Paris; two grandchildren, Hayden and Averi McFadden; niece, Patricia Slagle and husband, Jeff; nephew, Mark Smith; great-nieces and nephews, Harleigh Slagle, River Slagle, Christopher Whitley and Ashley Smith; uncles, Billy Smith and T.
