ALEXANDRIA - Goldie Arnold Wales, 91, Country Club Estates, died Monday morning at Community Hospital, Anderson, following a brief illness.
She was born Jan. 25, 1900, in Cromwell, and resided in Alexandria most of her life. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church, Alexandria Order of Eastern Star 179 and Alexandria Women's Guild.
Her first husband, Don Arnold, died in 1969; her second husband, Charles Wales, in 1984; and her son, William Arnold, in August 1990.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Byron (Mary L.) Cunningham, Mrs. Wilfred (Donna Belle) Allen and Mrs. James (Janet) Spade, all of Alexandria, and Mrs. William (Jean) Cure of Martinsville; a sister, Joyce Darr of South Bend; two stepdaughters, Betty Phillips of Indianapolis and Virginia Ann Newton of Noblesville; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Owens Funeral Home, Alexandria, with the Rev. Clifton Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Park View Cemetery, Alexandria.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund through the funeral home.
