French painter. Paul Baudry enters to Fine arts to sixteen years thanks to a municipal purse. Received Big Price of Rome in 1850 as William Bouguereau, he is interested in the painting of the Corrège. He was mainly a painter muralist, although het also painted the portraits and the historic compositions. Napoléon III confides him the decor of the home of the Garnier opera.
He achieves the decor of the Fould hotel in 1854, of the Galliera hotel in 1863 and the hotel of Paved it. He also participates in the decor of the castle of Chantilly. He travel in Orient and died before can have executed his project of decoration of the Pantheon of Paris on Jeanne d´Arc.
