Mary "Josephine" Albert, 107, Morrisville, Missouri left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior after a short illness which required her to be placed at Willard Care Center. Josephine was born to William Silas and Kate Weston Cooper in Seligman, Missouri.
She was united in marriage to Clarence Edward Albert on September 12,1927, in Springfield, Missouri, and to this union five children were born.
She was a housewife and in her early years she loved hopping the train, camping, fishing, canning fish on the riverbanks, and baby sitting. She later enjoyed reading her bible, crocheting, sewing, cooking, quilting, and sightseeing, as well as visiting with her family and friends.
She loved going to the Presley's music show in Branson, and recently celebrated her 107th birthday there. She was quick-witted, very captivating, and a great storyteller until her death. Everyone, family and friends alike, knew her a "Grandma Albert." She lived several places in her lifetime, but spent her last 24 years at Grant Manor in Morrisville, and attended Morrisville Assembly of God Church. Her unconditional love, patience, and courage will guide us all till we meet again.
Josephine was preceded in death by her husband; a son, William; an infant daughter, Lula Marie; and a great-great-granddaughter, Kaicee Jo Willis.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary V. Choate, Morrisville; a daughter-in-law, Annie Albert, Cave Springs; a son, Robert E. Albert and wife Mitzi, Walnut Grove; a daughter, Lillie Ruth Williams and husband Ronnie, Climax Springs. She has twenty-two grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren with two more in the oven, and forty-one great-great-grandchildren with one in the oven for a grand total of 107 grandchildren plus their families. In addition, she has many nieces, nephews, and a host of very special friends.
Funeral services were held at Greeenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for the "Grandma Albert Scholarship" fund to be awarded at Marion C. Early High School can be sent to Farmer's State Bank of Morrisville, 1168 Maple Street, Morrisville, Missouri.
