Jack R. Aber, 71, passed away on January 16, 2007, after an 11-year battle with Multiple Myeloma. Born April 6, 1935 to the late Joseph and Evelyn Aber. Jack served with the US Navy in the Korean War. He was a life member of the Army Navy Club #102 and VFW Post #8975. Jack enjoyed restoring antique trucks, going to carshows, and camping at Whispering Pines. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Jack Aber, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Janice; sons David, Joe (Cindy), and Tim; daughters Cheryl (Jeff) Miller and Patty (Brian) Walleen; brother Jim (Doll); sister Joann (Gale) Stem; granddaughters Lynn, Jessica, and Melissa; 2 great-grandsons; nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Calling hours will be Sunday, 2-4 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral service Monday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
