ADKINS, Rhodella C. Age 70 of Fairborn passed away Saturday 25 August 2007 at Friends Care Community. She was born 18 September 1936 in Dayton, OH, the daughter of Leroy G. and Lucille Snider (Beaty). Preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jane L. Young (Snider). She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Cortis (Cort) Adkins; son, Tim Adkins of Carmel, IN; son, Don and daughter-in-law, Kate, and four beloved grandsons Michael, Jacob, Noah and Luke Adkins of Fairborn, OH. She is also survived by brothers-and- sisters-in-law Dallas and Rosemary Adkins of Dayton, OH and Venis and Ellen Adkins and mother-in-law, Ada Adkins of Yellow Springs, OH; and brother James Snider of Kettering, OH. Rhodella was a 1954 graduate of Wilbur Wright H.S., and was last employed at WPAFB Medical Center. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Raju and staff; Friends Care Community; and Hospice of Dayton for their dedicated care during her illness, and to special friends David and Willene Horton, James and Teen Glidewell for their longtime friendship and caring over the years, especially during the last two difficult years. Thanks to Ven and Ellen and to Dallas and Rosemary who were a great part of her life during the last 50 years. She will be missed dearly by her four grandsons, who were the joys of her life. Rhodella donated herself to the Anatomical Gift Program at Wright State University School of Medicine.
