Charles F. Ahlstrom, 76, of 277 Liberty Street died Thursday afternoon at Crile Hospital, Parma. He was an overseas veteran of World War I.

Mr. Ahlstrom had been ill over a long period of time. Born Nov. 15, 1878, in Chicago, he had made his home in Painesville 53 years. He was the son of the late Capt. and Mrs. Charles Ahlstrom.

Retired, he had worked as a guard at the Diamond Magnesium plant when it was in operation.

He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and Brakeman-King Post 336 of the American Legion.
