Charles Aiello died at the age of 82, three weeks after his 82nd Birthday. He was born and raised in Laurignano, Italy. He immigrated to the United States with his family through Ellis Island,of New York, in 1937, at the age of 11. He served America in the Army, during World War II. He had 39 years with the Federal Government, mostly through the Coast Guard. In 1983 he moved from New Rochelle, New York to Sarasota, Florida, when he retired. He had been a dedicated parishioner of Holy Name Church in New Rochelle, New York, and Church of the Incarnation in Sarasota, Florida, he also enjoyed gardening. He is survived by: His wife of 44 years, Maria Aiello, of Tampa, Florida, three sons, Lawrence Aiello of Tampa, Florida, Daniel Aiello of Alpharetta, Georgia, and John Aiello of Moline, Illinois, two daughters, Nancy Krey of Peoria, Illinois and Lorraine St. Clair of Moline, Illinois, a brother, Mario Aiello of New Rochelle, New York, and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
