Christopher Julian Foster, 40, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away suddenly on August 25, 2005.

Chris was born in Savannah on September 22, 1964. He is a graduate of Savannah Christian Preparatory School and then attended Mercer University. He served in the U.S. Army from 1987 to 1989. He graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State College where he met his wife of eight years. While attending Armstrong, he was editor of the school newspaper, the Inkwell. Chris was employed by Gulfstream Aerospace since 2001. Chris was an accomplished and avid tennis player and golfer and enjoyed kayaking. -He is survived by his wife, Sandra Vinueza Foster; his father, Grady W. Foster and stepmother Barbara T. Foster, all of the Savannah area. He was preceded in his death by his mother, Patricia W. Foster in December 1989. -He is also survived by a brother, Gregory A. Foster, M.D. of Seale, Alabama; a sister, Luann L. Foster of Charlotte, NC; his parents-in-law Dr. and Mrs. Cesar Vinueza of Savannah; and several nieces and nephews and other family members. -Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, August 28, 2005 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. -Funeral: 10A.M. Monday, August 29, 2005 in St. James Catholic Church, Savannah. -In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to The Humane Society of Chatham County or other animal welfare organization.
