Jesus said "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." Sue Fullilove Allgood died Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at her home in Maryville, Tenn., where she had resided for the past year. Before that, Mrs. Allgood had lived for approximately 11 years in Baton Rouge. Born Sept. 2, 1925, in Merigold, Miss., to E.W. and Sue W. Fullilove, Mrs. Allgood had also lived for extended periods in Jennings and Lake Charles. Mrs. Allgood worked for many years in display advertising at the Lake Charles American Press newspaper. Mrs. Allgood is survived by two children: her son, Davis B. "Pepper" Allgood of Baton Rouge, married to Marlene Krousel Allgood, and a daughter, Dr. Ann A. Berry of Maryville, married to Ross W. Berry. She leaves three grandchildren, William Eric Allgood, Maria Elena Allgood and Sean Ross Berry, as well as her former husband, William S. Allgood of Jennings. Her brothers, Jimmy Charles Fullilove and Kenneth Fullilove, reside in Jennings and Metairie respectively. Mrs. Allgood was a loving mother, grandmother, a devoted sibling and a wonderful friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at the Chapel in the Oaks, 9611 Siegen Lane, Baton Rouge, on Saturday, May 5, starting at 3 p.m. Visitation will be held at the church before the service from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Mrs. Allgood was a member of the chapel during the time she lived in Baton Rouge and enjoyed the fellowship of the Thursday morning Women's Bible Study. Memorial donations may be made to Blount Memorial Hospice Foundation, 1095 E. Lamar Alexander Parkway, Maryville, TN 37804.
