Deceased Name: Brown, William Zaccheus (Zach) William Zacch

Brown, William Zaccheus (Zach) William Zaccheus Brown (Zach) of Dallas passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, August 25, 2008. Zach was born January 11, 1915 in Greensboro, North Carolina to William Zaccheus and Mary Frances Neale Brown. He graduated from Virginia Tech University with a B.S. in Business Administration. Upon graduation, he was commissioned into the U.S. Army. Shortly after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, he fought in the South Pacific until the conclusion of World War II. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. After the war, he moved his growing family to Dallas, and joined the District Sales Office of Ford Motor Company where he worked for 34 years.

He was married to Alice Reynolds of Augusta, Georgia, the love of his life. They had six sons and three daughters. During his time in Dallas, Zach was a devoted member of Christ the King Catholic Church, St. Rita Catholic Church, and All Saints Catholic Church. He was an Eagle Scout and was very active with the Boy Scouts. He was the Assistant Scout Master of Troop 83 with his sons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Frances Brown, his sister, Frances Neale Brown, who died at age two, and his beloved aunt Eileen Margaret Neale. Also preceding him, are his wife, Alice Reynolds Brown and son and daughter-in- law Vincent Paul and Dona Lahr Brown.

Funeral services will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Hwy. Chapel on Saturday, August 30, 2008. The family will receive friends at 1:00 followed by the service at 2:00. A family graveside service will follow immediately after at Calvary Hill Catholic Cemetery. Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home and Cemetery 7405 W. Northwest Hwy. (214) 363-5401 Dignity Memorial
