Richard Barrish, age 74, passed away suddenly in Danbury Hospital.
He was born in Tuxedo, NY to the late Joseph Barrish and Jessy Muir, who still resides in Stamford.
He was formerly of Stamford and Norwalk and was currently residing in Redding.
Dick worked as a program manager for Data Products Corporation, formerly of Stamford, and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957.
Dick will be remembered as a loving husband and dependable father who will be truly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Svea Nystrom Barrish, his son John and his mother Jessy.
In addition to his father he was predeceased by his son Larry in 1977.
Dick's family will receive friends at the Bouton & Reynolds Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, on Monday, December 1, 2008 from 11-12 PM, and a service with the Reverend Russell Greene officiating.
Burial immediately following at Fairfield Memorial Park.
