Leona Jane Adkins, 81 of Grayson died at her residence following a brief illness.
She was born in Greenup County, KY, a daughter of the late John and Nannie Bush Carpenter.
She was a member of the Lindsey Methodist Church, Lindsey-Pacolus Homemakers and Lindsey-Pactolus Development.
She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Dale Adkins.
Her survivors include: three daughters Sue and husband Ed Tackett, Carla and husband Gator Prater and Cheryl Adkins all of Grayson, KY; one sister Lucy Griffin of Melbourne FL; five brothers Ercle Carpenter of Wurtland, KY, Elmer Carpenter of Columbus, OH, John Carpenter Jr., of Wurtland, KY, Carl Carpenter of Kitts Hill, OH and Wayne Carpenter of Wurtland, KY. 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
