Mother of Buddy Dale Garoutte and Rosemary Sue Caviness. Born in Texas. Married to Clifford Garoutte in 1949 and to Bill Walker in 1957. Divorced since 1968. Died in Orange, TX in 2002.Susie Walker, 72, of Orange, Texas, died Sunday, August 4, 2002, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Orange Hospital in Orange. Cremation services will be handled by Dorman Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Stratford Cemetery in Stratford, Texas.
Mrs. Walker was a native of Willow, Oklahoma, and a longtime resident of Stratford before moving to the Orange area in 1998. Before retirement, she was a certified nurses aide.
She is survived by a son, Buddy Dale Garoutte of Kingwood, Texas; a daughter, Rosemary Sue Caviness of Orange; a brother, Ed Smith of Stratford; sisters, Jo Johnson and Carol Robison, both of Cedar Hill, Texas; and Margaret Teakell of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Roger Caviness, Pamela Berryman and Buddy Garoutte Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Mikey Mendoza, Kayla Berryman, Alexis Allendorph and Chase Caviness, with another great-grandson on the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Mary Smith, and sister Wilma Batdorf.
