Obituary for David G. Humber in the Albany Newspaper:
"David G. Humber, 82, Retired Stock Farmer Succumbs to Illness
D. G. Humber, prominent stock farmer of this county for 30 years, died Thursday morning at 6:30 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Le Anna Grubb, in Abilene, where he had been carried from the Stamford hospital a week earlier.
Mr. Humber's illness had covered a period of only a month, having been confined to the Stamford hospital at two different times during September and later moved to the home of Mrs. Grubb. He had been able to visit a doctor's office in Albany only two weeks before he died."
