Film sound recording engineer. He was nominated for an Oscar for sound mixing work on 1978's "The Buddy Holly Story." He won an Emmy for best sound for "Dive to the Edge of Creation," a "National Geographic Specials" episode. He also received Emmy nominations for best sound for the TV movies "A Time for Miracles" (1980 and "Truman" (1995). His filmography includes movies such as the restorations of "The Bridge on the River Kwai"(1957) and "Spartacus" (1960), as well as feature films such as "The Prince of Tides" (1991),"Back to the Future II" (1989), and "Bloody Dawn: The Lawrence Massacre" (2007). He also did work for TV shows such as "M*A*S*H," "Charlie's Angels," "Dawson's Creek" and "Once and Again."
