Tommy had stopped his unmarked police car behind another car in the center westbound lane of the expressway at Galvez street about 10:20 pm.
He had a portable flashing light on the roof of his car and was standing next to the drivers side of the car he had pulled over when a third car hit him...That car didn't stop.
He was 35 Years old...and a member of the police SWAT team... Tommy died at Charity Hospital @ 3:45 am.
Tommy was married to Carol Ann Lauman and they had 2 chidren: A Daugher Julie Ann & a Son Brian Edward.
Brian is now a New Orleans Policeman.
