Funeral services for Miss Lois Boles, age 92, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2009, at First Baptist Church, Jacksonville with the Rev. Grady Higgs and the Rev. Vernon Lee officiating.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, Jacksonville.

Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Miss Boles passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009, in Jacksonville.

She was born March 9, 1917, in Jacksonville to Sam Boles and Gussie Mae Cunningham Boles.

Miss Boles was a member of First Baptist Church, Jacksonville, a graduate of Jacksonville High School, received her master's degree at Stephen F. Austin University, a Pink Lady, member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, was recently honored as being the oldest member of First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school in the Beginner's Class for over 50 years. She taught school for 44 years, 35 of which were in Jacksonville. Miss Boles retired in 1983 and was active in the Retired Teachers Association.

Survivors include cousins, Dolores McCord of Jacksonville, Gordon Nunn of Galveston, Tony and Jerrie Sue Cleaver of Killeen, Mark and Sondra Kellar of Houston, David M. McCord of Hillsboro, Shine Chancellor of Jacksonville, Joy Bonjio and Bess Koehnle, both of Houston; and many other beloved cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Larry Garner, Craig Garner, Pat Baker, Ronnie Travis, David Barr, Rayburn McCown and Jimmy Tankersley.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Everett, Clifford Blake, Dr. Alfonso Saade, Jim Kolb, Glenn Horn and Earl Gay.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2009, at First Baptist Church, Jacksonville.
