June Hardy Abraham, 68, of Fairchance died Saturday, August 6, 1994, in Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. She was born April 17, 1926, in Fairchance, Pa., daughter of the late George and Irene Swaney Hardy.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Enoch "Buck" Abraham; a sister, Kathryn O'Brien; a niece, Dr. Kathy L. O'Brien; and a brother-in-law, Ted Abraham.

She was an outstanding member of American Legion Auxiliary Fairchance, Pa. Unit # 342, in which she had served as past chaplain and past president.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John (Daphne) Smiley, of Fairchance; two grandchildren, Jared and Megan Smiley; three sisters, Mrs. Logan (Florence) Zaph, of Fairchance, Hazel Stager, of Smithfield, Pa., and Mrs. Dan (Georgetta) Price, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one brother, Gary Hardy and his wife, Janice, of Fairchance; and a sister-in-law, Doris Jane Shrader, of Lakeland, Fla.

The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church St., Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, August 10, 1994, until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with Rev. Steve Malanowski officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa. American Legion Auxiliary Unit 342 will hold services in the funeral home this evening at 7 p.m.
