Peggy Jean Barber Barker, 76, of Flatwoods, Ky., died Sunday evening following a sudden illness.
Peggy was born Aug. 8, 1930, in Boyd County, Ky., a daughter of the late James Kenneth and Jewell Ethyl Brown Barber.
She was a faithful member of westwood Christian Church and cherished her church family.
Surviving are two daughters, Vickie Jean Hager of Greenup, Ky., and Stephanie Ann Estep of Ashland, Ky.; three sons, Kenneth David Barker of Ashland and Mark Edwards Barker and Matthew Allen Barker, both of Flatwoods; five grandchildren, Phillip, Brandon, Samantha, Wesley and Carrie; two great-grandsons, David and Damien; and a soon-to-be great-granddaughter, Lillian.
