Amy Charlotte Hembree was born March 27, 1875. She married John Wiley Abbott on February 27, 1895. They had the following children - Mary Jane, Ida Ellen, Lillie, Hattie, Roy, Lena Mable, Bernice and Catherine. Edna Caylor McAllister Fowler, remembers when her grandmother (Anna “Amy” Charlotte Hembree) died in downtown Ringgold, Ga, next to where Ringgold United Methodist Church is located.
