Born to Thomas Jefferson Atkinson & Cyreena V. Watkins. He was an Auto Mechanic. Newspaper accounts and Death Certificate lists cause of death as gun shot wound to head, self inflicted. But I remember my dad talking with relatives that it would be hard to shoot himself in the head with a rifle.
