Daughter of Revy and Trixie Marie Nicholson. Beloved wife of Harry, mother and grandmother.

Vivian was a talented and adventurous woman, kind and understanding, polite and generous. She never had an unkind word to say about anyone.

She was a 1937 graduate of Holmes-Liberty High School in Bucyrus, Ohio, in the United States, and while at school played violin in the school's orchestra, sang in various musical productions, and was an active participant in school sports, including softball and basketball. She earned a high school letter in softball and also served as her senior class secretary.

During World War II, she joined the United States' Women's Army Corps (WACS), where she would reach the rank of Staff Sergeant. She was posted as a radio operator, sending and receiving morse code. Later in her life, she would remember fondly the times she spent with "the girls" on the army base, both at work and in fun; she was a star basketball and softball player on the WAC teams.

She was quite good at card games, and was always an asset on a trivial pursuit team - she always knew all of the sports trivia. She very much enjoyed travelling and singing in her church choir. She was also a 60 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
