Word has been received here of the death of Miss Lydia Leonora Emmert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L.F. Emmert of Racine, and formerly of this city. Miss Emmert resided in Oshkosh nearly all her life until 1899, and was a graduate of the Oshkosh High School in 1897. She was class poet of the class. After graduation she attended the Normal School, graduating from that institution in 1899. That year her family removed to Racine, where they resided up to this time. Miss Emmert was sick but four days, and her death was due to pneumonia. She was twenty-two years and nine months old.
