PARKVILLE, MO - Brown, Garry H., 71, passed away Friday, April 23, 2010 at the University of Kansas Hospital. He was born February 16, 1939 in Great Bend, KS to Leonard R. and Amy L. (Griggs) Brown and graduated from Wichita North High School. Garry was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1991 after 32 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Deborah E. (McBride) Brown of the home; children, Traci D. Hunt, Chad E. Brown, Daniel J. Miller and wife Melissa and David J. Miller, all of Wichita; a sister, Lennie Lou McGovern of Clinton, IA; five grandchildren, Brandon, Eric, Macie, Teryn and Lauren; 6 great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be conducted at Kansas Veterans Cemetery Winfield, Kansas at 2 p.m., on Thursday, April 29, 2010. There is no scheduled visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Heart Association or Leukemia Lymphoma Society. The Meyers Funeral Chapel Northland is in charge of the final arrangements.
