MARY E. BRYNDEL
Mary E. Bryndel, 94, of Elco Glen, Johnsonburg Road, St. Marys, and formerly of 243 Brussells Street, died this morning at Pinecrest Manor.
She was born October 20, 1899 in Coal Glen, the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Morley Renwick. *(Mary was actually the daughter of Thomas Ruddock and Elizabeth Morley but after Thomas was killed in a mining accident, Elizabeth married Thomas Renwick, who adopted both Mary and her brother, Albert.) On November 23, 1925 in Sacred Heart Church, she married James F. Bryndel, who died January 8, 1979.
She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis, Mrs. Howard Gradl, St. Marys; a son, James Bryndel, Sr., Ridgway; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Bryndel, in 1980; a sister, Ethel Mae Renwick; and four brothers, Albert, Raymond, Robert and Thomas Renwick.
Mrs. Bryndel was a member of the St. Marys Senior Citizens.
Funeral services for Mary E. Bryndel will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home with the Rev. Thaddeus Rettger, O.S.B., pastor of Queen of the World Church, officiating. Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
