| Birth: | unknown Bavaria (Bayern), Germany | | Death: | 1775 Newville Cumberland County Pennsylvania, USA | Anna Catharina Christlieb's ancestral hometown, Bad Dürkheim, was in the German Rhineland. The Schloßkirche (Castle Church) where Friedrich Carl and Anna Catharina married in 1742 is still standing as of 2006.(bottom photo) Anna is buried in the oldest portion of the Big Spring Presbyterian Church graveyard in Newville, Pennsylvania. Here stood the original log church where many of the areas earliest inhabitants were buried in its nearby graveyard. For many years an enormous oak tree stood as a reminder of the location of the old church. Taken down in the 1980s, the stump is all that remains of the tree. (see stump in photo) In 1995 the Christlieb-Chrislip-Crislip Family Association placed a commemorative marker near the site of the original church and graveyard, to identify the site of the original church and old graveyard, and to mark the burial site of Anna Catharina (Engle/Bock) Christlieb.
