| Birth: | Jan. 6, 1907 Lock Haven Clinton County Pennsylvania, USA | | Death: | Dec. 24, 1961 Lock Haven Clinton County Pennsylvania, USA | I remember Pappy Jake only vaguely, although my parents told me many times how I used to go riding in his convertible as a small child singing "I won't go hunting with you Jake, but I'll go chasing women" at the top of my lungs. My only memory is of him holding me in his arms in our parents house just before he died. I can still hear his laugh and see his wire-rimmed glasses with the black tops. He loved life and his family. He died on the operating table on Christmas Eve at the old Lock Haven Hospital on Susquehanna Avenue. (used to be right across the street from my parent's house then) Laid to rest in Woolrich, PA. His wife Elsie was buried next to him upon her passing in 2003.
