Mildred Lee Warfield Beall was born July 29, 1917 to Howard and Gertrude (DeLashmutt) Warfield in Sykesville, Maryland. She had two sisters and two brothers. Another sister died the year before Mildred was born. She grew up on a farm called "Windsor Forest" outside Sykesville, Maryland. On September 5, 1936, she married Rev. Edward L. Beall in Springfield Presbyterian Church, Sykesville. The Bealls served churches in Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri, Iowa and Valencia, Venezuela. They had four sons (all of whom are living). After her husband's death, Mildred moved to Montrose, Colorado from her home in Harrison, Arkansas. She was an active member of the Presbyterian Church, P.E.O, and was an accomplished artist. She enjoyed outdoor life, especially fishing. Her last fishing expedition was on her 89th birthday.
