She was born June 18, 1941, in Manitoba, Canada, to Henri and Fabriola Gauthier Bourassa. She lived in Manitoba, graduated from Anaheim High School in California, moved to Ketchikan, Alaska, for 12 years before moving to Creswell. She lived in Creswell before moving to Springfield.
She worked for 27 years rearing her children, then went to work outside the home in the lumber industry. She retired in 2003 as composer operator at Springfield Forest Products. She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Alice Catholic Church for 26 years.
