Ida was a daughter of Dr. William Thomas Eastes and Sarah C. Zedaker. She married William Linden Cory on 29 March 1888 in Delaware County, Indiana. She was the mother of Edith M. Cory and Harold Arthur Cory. She worked as a teacher and a Librarian.

Though she died in San Antonio, Texas, Her Death certificate says she was sent to Mathews, Indiana for burial. That is her husband's home town. Her father and mother-in-law are buried in Harmony Cemetery.
