Sculptor. He was born at the right time to take advantage of the rebuilding of London following the Great Fire, and indeed a Victorian copy of his Queen Anne statue stands today before St Paul's cathedral. His funerary sculptures survive to this day in the Cathedral (carvings of the apostles above St Paul's entrance) and at Westminster Abbey (the memorial to the playwright Congreve.In his later life he turned to the life of a merchant, importing marble. The crypt in which he was buried was cleared in the early 2000's; his remains, if they survive, are in St Andrew's vault at the City Of London Cemetery, Ilford, Essex.
