According to genealogist, Charles Henry Pope,(a member of the N.E. Historical Society) in A History of the Dorchester Pope Family, pub. 1888, Colonial Fredrick Pope (b. May 15, 1773, d. August 12, 1812), seven term member of the Mass. Legislature, representing the town of Stoughton, was originally buried in Stoughton, but was re-interred in the F&W Pope tomb in Dorchester, as was his wife, Mary (AKA: Molly, Cole) Pope (d. December 24, 1823). This is on page 133 of the C. H. Pope's book. neither name is mentioned in the report.

The tomb was owned by the firm of F&W Pope, lumber merchants, the sons of Col. Frederick and Molly Pope. William (b. Nov. 12, 1774,d. May 20, 1860) is in the report as being buried there, and his wife is just referred to as Mrs. William Pope, she was Sarah (Pierce) (b.Dec 17,1774,d. Feb 24, 1873). She is not on the list of interment in the final section of the report (page 256), but is listed as being in the tomb.

Frederick, jun. (the "F" in "F&W") does not appear in the report. Frederick (b. Aug. 20, 1773, d. Dec. 16,1826), according to the Pope book, pg.158, he was also interred in that tomb. His wife, Molly (Pierce) (b. Sept. 29, 1776, d. Dec. 31, 1839) (not to be confused with his mother Molly, mentioned above) is in the report, but with a date of January 3, 1840 (4 days after the death date I have for her). She was sister to William's wife mentioned above.

A historical note: Frederick and Molly Pope were the grandparents of Albert A. Pope, the first manufacturer of bicycles in the United States, he made the Columbia bicycle. He is buried in Forest Hills. Another note, Pope's Rock, in Boston Harbor, near Deer Island, was named after the Pope family after a cargo ship owned by F&W Pope was wrecked went in crashed into it.
